Joseph Dyl Obituary

Age 77, Town of Amherst, March 13, 2024.

Joe passed away peacefully at home, listening to Bobby Darin and surrounded by his family:  his wife of 43 years, Michelle Dyl (nee Wholeben); his daughter, Kathryn Dyl; his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Sarah Dyl (nee MacKendrick); and his great-niece, Savannah Scott. He was a beloved brother to Laurie Dyl,  Elaine Dyl, and the late Jacqueline (nee Dyl) and Jack Raczynski.  Joe is also survived by his grandson Isaac and numerous (great) nieces and nephews.   Born, raised, and having lived his whole life in Buffalo, Joe was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Sabres and Bills.  He was defined by his devotion to his family, his loyalty and generosity to his friends, and his sense of humor.  A Prayer Service will be conducted Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 1 PM in Elmlawn Cemetery Sunrise Mausoluem. Please assemble in the office parking lot near the Delaware Avenue entrance. Following cemetery prayers a gathering will be held at his home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice Buffalo, whom they thank for the support and resources  provided.
