Age 84, of the City of Tonawanda, Friday, August 24, 2018, while under the care of Hospice; husband of the late Louise L. (nee Womer) Sampson; father of Gregory (late Karen) Sampson, Debra (Douglas) Rinard, Jeffery (Patricia) Sampson, Susan (Larry) Zackey, Barbara Roberts, and Donald (Amy) Sampson, Jr.; son of the late Floyd F. and Rose B. (nee Kohlmeier) Sampson; brother of the late Floyd Sampson, Marie Nunz, and Eileen Neuman; also survived by thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 30, from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 107 Scott St. (at William St.), City of Tonawanda, where a Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM following visitation. Friends invited. Burial will follow in Elmlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hospice Foundation of WNY, PO Box 590, Buffalo, NY 14240. Mr. Sampson was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tonawanda, and was a former member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Riverside. Arrangements by JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., Tonawanda.
