WARNER - Donald J.
Age 81, of Cheektowaga, retired Vice President/ Engineer of Schutte Pulverizer, died peacefully October 28, 2019 at his Summer home in Lily Dale. Husband of 53 years to Patricia A. (nee Gorski) Warner; brother-in-law of Margaret (late Ronald) Stann and the late Judy Baumet; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was an avid Boat Racing fan and former owner of Fission K238 where they won the National Championship twice. He also loved Drag Racing and owned many Drag Cars throughout his years. He was an avid Sabres and Bills fan and a life long season ticket holder. Don had an extraordinary life as a dedicated volunteer. For decades he was a member of the Lions Club and Buffalo Launch Club, coached Youth Hockey and organized a boat ride for disabled children. It was Don’s spirit and passion that influenced so many people in his life. Those who knew him will miss his ingenious story telling. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, November 2nd from 2-4 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda, where a Memorial Service will be conducted at 4 PM following the visitation. Everyone welcome.
