HOLLER - Janet Julia (nee Kruse) Age 80, of the City of Tonawanda, October 2, 2015, at home surrounded by her family following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jay Holler; loving mother of Elizabeth (Thomas) Harmon, Mary (David) Kirkwood, Dr. James (Teresa) Holler and Joseph (Amy) Holler; grandmother of James, Nicholas (Samantha Lyons) and Robert (Jennie) Kirkwood, Thomas, Christopher and Juliane Harmon, Rachel, Jay, Claire, Kristie Jo (John Tomlinson), Kellie and Benjamin Holler; great-grandmother of Gavin and Gwenyth Kirkwood; daughter of the late Elbert and Julia (Mandly) Kruss; sister of Judy (John) Cousins, Donna (Chip) Netzer, Christine Moore, Kathy Patrick, Eric Kruss and John Tarayos; stepdaughter of Robert and Delores Batt; dearest niece of Anne Massey and dear friend of Mary Smith. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday (October 9th) from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday (October 10th) in St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, 150 Broad St. in Tonawanda. Friends invited. A private entombment will be in St. Francis Chapel Columbarium. Flowers gratefully

Janet was a 1953 graduate of Tonawanda High School and also a 1990 graduate of Canisius College, where she served in the Office of VP of Student Affairs and later as a writer in the college’s Public Relations Department. She was a member of the Tonawanda School District Distinguished Alumni Committee, PTA Council, Canisius College Scholarship Associates, St. Francis Parish Council and Outreach. Janet loved spending time with her family, traveling the historical East Coast, gardening, reading, cooking and weekends at the family cabin all
brought her great happiness.
