Age 81, of the City of Tonawanda, died suddenly at her residence Monday, February 18, 2019. Wife of the late Gary E. Doane who died January 26, 2017; mother of David (Leesa) D’Orazio, Kim (Brian) Yohe, Lisa (Gary) Eckis, Scott (Dena) D’Orazio and Robert (Cheryl) Frey; and step-mother of the late Mark (Kim) Doane; 24 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; daughter of the late Leonard and Jean Theel; and sister of Jaretta (late Al) Awaldt. Janice was a 1955 graduate of Tonawanda High School and was a lifelong member and choir member of Salem United Church of Christ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts.), in Tonawanda. Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday, February 27th in Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St. in Tonawanda. Everyone welcome. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions are preferred to Salem United Church of Christ.
