Rae "Sandy" Sandra Bright

BRIGHT - Rae Sandra “Sandy” Age 75, of Tonawanda, NY, on Friday, October 4, 2019 at DeGraff Memorial Skilled Nursing Facility. Born on December 9, 1943 in North Tonawanda, NY. She was the beloved daughter of the late Raymond K. and Etheleen B. (Mongold) Bright and predeceased by her cherished brother, Peter R. Bright. Sandy is survived by her loving siblings, Thomas C. (Cathy A.) and Jennifer M. Bright, her aunts, cousins and friends. Sandy loved her family and friends, all animals, crafts, playing bingo, writing to many, many pen pals, taking pictures of all her friends and animal pals and watching DVD’s. Artistically inclined, she enjoyed making ceramics and even helped others in her mother’s ceramics class. Sandy was an avid NY Yankees fan, as one could tell by her shirts and pictures of her favorite players on the wall. Her favorite football player was Tom Brady, much to the dismay of the Bills fans! She especially liked shopping, buying special gifts for her friends and caregivers, yet never expected anything in return. Sandy had challenges since she had a bad reaction to a vaccine before kindergarten. She never complained and was always happy and tried to make others happy as well. She will be greatly missed. The family wants to acknowledge the loving care she received while at the DeGraff Memorial SNF. A heartfelt thank-you to you all. We couldn’t have asked for anything more or more dedicated people. Family will be present Friday (October 11th) 3-7 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad St.) in Tonawanda, where a Memorial Service will be conducted Friday at 7 PM following the visitation. Everyone welcome.
