Kancar, Barbara A. (nee Hall)

Age 84, of the City of Tonawanda, September 17, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. Dear wife of the late Donald J. Kancar who passed away in 1999. Daughter of the late Guy G. and Anna E. (nee Renk) Hall. Beloved mother of Donald J. Kancar II, Kevin (Leslie) Kancar, Patrick (Karen Priebe) Kancar, Timothy (Jennifer) Kancar, James (Krista Lang) Kancar, Renee (Vinny Tringali) Kancar, John Kancar, Guy (Tiffany) Kancar, Daniel (Rebecca) Kancar and inherited son Bobbie (Tina) Hockenbrough. Dear grandmother of Kyle, Emily, Jillian, Joseph, Lindsay, Brett, Tara, Amelia, Sophia, Daniel Jr., Stephanie, Arianna, Alley and Billy. Great-grandmother of Myra, Vivienne, Vera, Molly, Olive, Alaia Marie Ann and Khaisean James. She is survived by her brother Charles (late Kathleen) Hall, her longtime companion Tom Border, sister in-law Barbara (Conrad) Wierzbowski, brother in-laws Thomas (Lucille) Kancar and Gerald (Carole) Kancar, dearest cousin of the late Mary Desjardins, late Jean Dutton and David (Valerie) Pachla, and survived by many cousins, many nieces and nephews. Barbara was a 1958 graduate of Tonawanda High School, she later graduated from Bryant and Stratton College. She worked many years for Dr. Wilbur and then over 30 years at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Barbara was a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Church.  Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 4-8 PM at JOHN 0. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad St) City of Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 9:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, 150 Broad St. City of Tonawanda. Everyone is welcome to attend. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
