It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Tanner Jr., a cherished son, brother, and grandson. Born on April 20th, 2003, Charles was taken from us far too soon on April 24th, 2025. Remembered for his kindness and generosity, Charles' lasting impact will be forever felt in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Charles leaves behind an adoring family, including his parents, Leslie Czarniak and Charles Tanner Sr, and his step-mother, Ashley Kinney. He is survived by his brothers Justin Tanner, Dwane Tanner, Duke Napierala, and Tyler Czarniak as well as his sisters, Mackenzie Parkinson, Aaramya Czarniak, and Sydnee Wilson. His grandparents, Clay Anderson, Elizabeth Compoton, Marilyn Herby, and Beverly Tanner, along with his aunt, Mary Tanner, and uncles, Brian Frears and Henry Czarniak Jr., also deeply mourn his loss. Charles' grandfather, Henry Czarniak Sr., and aunt, Melinda Czarniak, preceded him in death.

A proud alumnus of Tonawanda High School, class of 2022, Charles' ambition and eagerness for knowledge were truly inspiring. His efforts and accomplishments have undoubtedly left a lasting legacy amongst his peers and educators alike.

Charles' zest for life and undying spirit will forever be engrained in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed.
