SERRANO, CHERYL A. (nee DOWNEY) 

October 20, 1947 - June 11, 2026
Age 78 of Sanborn, NY and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, June 11, 2026 under the care of Hospice. Wife of Juan A. Serrano and the late Frank L. Sereno who died in 1999. Mother of Kim (Jason) Simoneit and Christen (JeanPierre) Vivian, grandmother of JeanPierre (Lexi), Jason and Liam and great grandmother of Aaliyahh and Jacob. Daughter of the late Wilfred and Gloria Downey and sister of Timothy Downey and the late Lynn Landen. Also many nieces and nephews. Cheryl was a 1965 graduate of Tonawanda High School. Cheryl proudly; served as a Recording Secretary of her many class reunions which were celebrated every five years until their 50th reunion. She was also a member and past Treasurer of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Cheryl enjoyed attending the Riviera Theater with her daughters and friends for many years. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 16, 2026 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) City of Tonawanda, where a Prayer Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday following the visitation. Everyone welcome to attend. The Rev. David Keating will officiate. A private burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Elkland, PA.
