Glenna G. (Brooks) Sternin Obituary
STERNIN, GLENNA G. (nee Brooks), age 89 of the City of Tonawanda, October 23, 2024 at McAuley Residence. She was born January 8, 1935 in Wichita Falls, TX, the daughter of Glenn and Sally Brooks. She was predeceased by her husband Mark, her son Jeff Sternin and her grandson Mark Sternin and her dearest friend Joan Russell. Loving mother of Heather L. Sternin (Joan Horn), Joel A. (Amy) Sternin, Paul M. (Linda) Sternin and Mark Daniel (Donna) Sternin. Grandmother of Keri, Gregory, Thomas, Cory, Tiffany, Molly, Zachery, Jason, Alexandra, and Matthew. Also survived by ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Glenna was a teacher in the North Tonawanda school district for thirty years and an active member of North Tonawanda United Teachers. She was one of the founding partners of Partners In Art, which was located on Webster Street in North Tonawanda for 27 years. She was instrumental in the creation of Art on the Riverwalk, Downtown Winterwalk, Project Pride, and a member of the Downtown Merchants Association. Her business was recognized as Business of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas and she was the recipient of the YWCA OF Niagara 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award. Her life will be honored at a date to be announced.
