Hayes, Gwendolyn (nee Herman)
Age 84, a lifelong resident of the City of Tonawanda, passed away September 29, 2023. She was the loving mother of Cynthia (Thomas A.) Covert, beloved grandmother of Thomas W. Covert and Michelle Covert and great-grandmother of Trinity Covert , she is also survived by her nephew Donald and nieces Lynn and Judy. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Evelyn (nee Johnson) Herman and sister of the late Donald Herman and Carol Bernick. Gwendolyn was a 1956 Graduate of Tonawanda High School. She later worked at G.C. Murphy Store and then Premier Liquor for many years. Following Gwendolyn’s wishes there will be no visitation or services.
