Age 85, of North Tonawanda, husband of the late Marjorie J. (nee Stillman) Carlson who passed away in 2015. Father of Kelly (Michael) Richmond, Karen (Timothy) Rambler, Mary (Jay) Shaw, Kevin McDermott, Linda (Andrew) Giglio, Cindy (Matthew) Suter, grandfather to 13 grandchildren and survived by 13 great grandchildren. Brother of Linda Ferguson, Brenda (Brian) Himes, Kenneth (Linda) Carlson and the late Jack (living spouse Rose) Carlson and the late Carol James. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and by his lifelong friend Tommy Leithner.  Howard was a US Army Veteran, he was employed at Chevrolet and was a member of UAW. A Visitation will be held from 11AM-12:30 PM, Friday, January 10, 2025 at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda, where a Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 12:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend. Immediately following the service a burial of cremains will be held in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery on Niagara Falls Blvd.. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Niagara Hospice or St. Matthew Lutheran Church, would be appreciated.
