Age 55, of North Tonawanda, April 28, 2021. Husband of 25 years to Jill (nee Strassburg) McNeill; father of Adam, Kyle, Emily and Patrick McNeill; son of Jean O. (nee Greene) McNeill and the late J. Joseph McNeill; brother of Joseph (Irene) McNeill, Maureen (Richard) Napoli and Marcia (Mark) Saltarelli; son- in-law of William and Kathy Strassburg and brother-in-law of William (Babette) Strassburg and Roberta (Thomas) Normandin; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and also his fur-ever friend Zeke. James was a 1983 graduate of Tonawanda High School and a 2003 graduate of Canisius College. He was a member of Twin City Council Knights of Columbus, Anerald Boat Club, Eldredge Bicycle Club and was a NTAA Football Coach. The family would like to express their gratitude for the tremendous care and support given by Dr. David Dougherty, Buffalo Medical Group Infusion Center and Roswell Park during Jim’s courageous battle with cancer. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 2nd from 4-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts) in Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, May 3rd in St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, 150 Broad St. in Tonawanda. Everyone welcome. Private graveside prayers will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Please be mindful that face coverings and social distancing will be required and occupancy limitations may cause delayed entry.
