LONG - Janet L. (nee Browning)
Age 98 of the City of Tonawanda, February 28, 2023 at her residence under the care of Hospice. Wife of 64 years to the late Lloyd J. Long who died in 2012, Loving mother of Deborah L. (Richard) Jaeger and the late Victoria Ann Keidel, also her four legged companions Ginger, Puddy and Buddy. Also several nieces and nephews. Janet was a 1943 graduate of Tonawanda High School. She was a Life Member of Tonawanda’s Unit 264 American Legion Auxiliary, a Life Member of the Historical Society of the Tonawandas and a former member of DeGraff Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Janet had been employed as a Sales Manager for W.T. Grant Dept. Store, Kahn’s New York Store and Aldo’s Men’s Shop, all located in Tonawanda. It was Janet’s request that there be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
