TOOKE, JANITH "JAN" L.

January 4, 1931 - March 30, 2026 
Age 95 of North Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, March 30, 2026 under the care of Hospice. Daughter of the late Embury H. and Genevieve L. (nee Conrad) Tooke and sister of the late Lloyd (late Elizabeth) Tooke, Eugene (late Dorothy) Tooke, Eleanor (late Joseph) Fiala, Donald (late Sally) Tooke, Gerald (late Lois Madrid) Tooke, Gloria (late Howard Clark, Elmer Licht, Bart Taggart) Taggart, Lyle (living spouse Roberta "Ronni") (late Dorothy J.) Tooke and Marvin (late Beatrice) Tooke. Also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Jan was a 1949 graduate of Tonawanda High School. She was Assistant Vice President of HSBC in Tonawanda and also Buffalo for more than 40 years, retiring in 1991 and was Past President of Erie-Niagara Sunrise Exchange Club. Jan was also an active member of Payne Ave. Christian Church where she served as Moderator for many yrs.and was also Elder Emeritus. Calling hours will be held on Friday April 3, 2026 from 4-7 PM at JOHN 0. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) City of Tonawanda. A private burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be conducted on Saturday April 4, 2026 at 11 AM in PAYNE AVE. CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 1459 Payne Ave. North Tonawanda, NY. Everyone welcome to attend. The Rev. Hope Harle-Mould will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Jan may be made to Payne Ave. Christian Church.
