HAMMOND - Jeannette L.
(nee Powell) Age 85, of the City of Tonawanda and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away February 11, 2021. Wife of the late Walter Porter, Walter Kible, Calvin Hammond and George Boddy; mother of Walter, Robert, Arthur Porter and the late Deborah Porter; grandmother of five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and predeceased by one great- grandson; daughter of the late Thomas B. and Florence Powell; and sister of the late Arthur and John Powell. Jeannette was a longtime member of the Salvation Army Tonawanda Corps. and the Home League. She worked for the Erie Co. Board of Elections and was Treasurer for the City of Tonawanda Senior Center. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, February 16th, from 4-6 PM at the Salvation Army in Niagara Falls at 7018 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls, NY 14304, where a Memorial Service will be conducted at 6 PM following the calling hours. Everyone welcome. Please be mindful that face coverings and social distancing will be required. Memorial contributions in memory of Jeannette may be made to the Salvation Army Tonawanda Corps.
