SAHR, JOANNE ELLEN (nee Sole)

Age 91 of Sanborn, NY, passed away February 21, 2025 at her residence. Wife of 72 years to Frederick L. Sahr, mother of Cindy (Vincent) Sileo, Pamela (late Michael) DeRose, Kevin (Darla) Sahr, David (Linda) Sahr and Terry (Timothy) Durkee, grandmother of Rachel (Douglas Ehninger) Drof, Timothy (Elise) Sileo, Jonathan Durkee (Lauren), Joshua (Tara) Sahr, Nicholas Durkee (Kayla) and Rebecca (Scott Eggert) Drof and 6 great grandchildren, daughter of the late George W. and Margaret A. Sole and sister of the late Linda Sole Hammond Knolle and the late James (late Mary Ruth) Sole. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Along with Fred, managed and ran Sahr Landscaping, JoAnne had a long and rewarding career as an Elementary School Teacher in the North Tonawanda Public School System. She was also a long time member of Holimont Ski Club. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday March 1, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at JOHN 0. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) City of Tonawanda, where a Memorial Service will be conducted at 4:30 PM following the visitation. Everyone welcome to attend.
