Gojmerac, John

Age 101, of the City of Tonawanda, July 25, 2026. Husband of 66yrs., to the late Jeanne I. (nee Roberts) Gojmerac who died in 2024. Father of Linda (Kenneth) Naples, Christina “Tina” (Kenneth) Fabozzi, Victoria (Kenneth) Weixlmann and Mark (Brenda) Gojmerac, grandfather of Angelica (Kevin), Eric, Sarah (Kris), Olivia (Justin), Gabriella, Kenneth, Taylor, Maxwell and Natalie and 5 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Charles (late Antoinette) Gojmerac. John was born in a small town in Croatia before immigrating to the US in 1939. John was a US Army Veteran, serving in the infantry during WWII. He was awarded the Silver Star, Purple Heart and French Legion of Honor. After the war, he met the love of his life Jeanne and together they raised four children. John worked for 40 years as a machinist at General Motors. He was a strong family man, steadfast and dependable, and lived to nearly 102 years old. Calling hours will be held on Sunday August 2, 2026 from 4-7PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) City of Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday August 3, 2026 at 11:30 AM in St. Amelia RC Church, 2999 Eggert Rd., Tw. of Tonawanda, NY 14150. The Rev. Sebastian Pierro will officiate.
