 SALAY, JOHN A., age 89 of the Tw. of Tonawanda, NY, May 20, 2023 Husband of 68 years and best friend of Virginia L. (nee Hartman) Salay, father of Stephen John (Rose) Salay, TerriLyn (Thomas) Serviss, Gregory Jay (Debra) Salay and AnnMarie (Daniel) Clark and his furry son Oreo, 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, brother of Mary Ann Yea, Rose Marie (Steve) Luther and the late James (late Barbara) Myers and the late Laura Lou (late Clyde) Gilstrap. Also many nieces and nephews. John was a Scout Leader Pack 33, a girls Basketball and Baseball Coach, a Founding Father of H.O.P.E. and a proud member of Teamsters Local 375. Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 25, 2023 from 3-7 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) in Tonawanda, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 7 PM Thursday evening following the calling hours. Everyone welcome to attend. Flowers gratefully declined, memorial contributions in memory of John may be made to SPCA of Erie County or to Shriners Hospital of Erie, PA.
