SILVASHY, JOHN R. JR., age 74 of the City of Tonawanda, unexpectedly September 26, 2022 at his residence. Father of James (Kelley) Silvashy and the late Jason Silvashy, grandfather of Seth, Noah, Jarid and Chloe and 2 great grandchildren. Son of the late John R. Sr. and Georgene (nee Norton) Silvashy, brother of Judy Porter, Ethel (late LeRoy) Oswald, Sunday (Richard) Bartha and the late Gabriel (living spouse Linda) Silvashy. Also survived by nieces and nephews. John was a 1966 graduate of Tonawanda High School and was a US Army Veteran serving during Vietnam Era. He had been employed as a Postal Carrier for the US Postal Service. John was a member of the Gastown Sportsmens Club and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday October 14, 2022 from 3-6 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) in Tonawanda, where a Prayer Service will be conducted at 6 PM following the visitation. Everyone welcome to attend. The Rev.
