Joseph "Joe Cal" Calabrese Sr.

CALABRESE "JOE CAL" JOSEPH, SR., age 71 of the Tw. of Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, unexpectedly September 26, 2019. Loving husband of Pamela (nee Shaffer) Calabrese and the late Karen Ann (nee Parnett) Calabrese whO died in 1993, beloved father of Joseph J. (Rebecca) Calabrese, Jr., Amand Hanlon, Emily Sparks, Kevin Speck, Michael and Kate Lawrence, papa of Harmony, Isabella, Tyler, Addison, Chase, Isla and Jacob, son of the late Jack and Mamie (nee Cassata) Calabrese and brother of Pasquale (Jeanne) and James (Kathleen) Calabrese and AnnMarie (Robert) Baker. Also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. Joe Cal was a US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Tonawandas' Post 264 American Legion, Frontiersmen Post 7545 VFW, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 77 and also the DAV. There will be not prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday Oct. 12th at 10 AM in St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, 150 Broad St. in Tonawanda. A burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery will follow the Funeral Mass. Everyone welcome. Joe's family would like to invite every-one to join them immediately following the cemetery prayers at the Frontiers men Post 7545 VFW, 110 Elgin St. in Tonawanda for a Celebration of Joe Cal's Life.
