Joseph R Brunner, age 65, of Niagara Falls NY, passed away suddenly during a courageous fight with lung cancer. He graduated from Canisius College and SUNY Buffalo as a pharmacist. Later in life, he found a passion for emerging computer technology, working for Evolve Media. He was able to further incorporate his personal passion for hockey as the Vice President for HFBoards, the leading hockey forum in the world and a positive community that fostered kinship among fans. He was known in the online hockey community as Buffaloed (Joe). He will be missed for his love of music (he played banjo and piano and could play by ear), as well as his dry sense of humor, quick wit, and word-smithery. He was a quiet soul who enjoyed reading and music, and was an avid Buffalo Sabres fan. He is predeceased by his late parents William and Irene Brunner and brother Billy. He is survived by his brother Paul (Sharon) Brunner and sister Sheila (Claude) Parnett, nephews and niece Patrick, Keith, Sean (Erin), and Kara (Ian), and beloved friend Maria Cafiero. His memorial will be a private ceremony for family, and tribute donations in his honor can be directed to 11 Day Power Play | Buffalo Fights Cancer. One Shift At A Time.
