In retirement Joe enjoyed sitting on his porch, conversing with his neighbors, watching the hummingbirds, visits from his granddaughter Jenna, Ralf and her family of furry animals. A favorite past time of his was the cultivation of many rose bushes, one in particular being the yellow rose. Grown in the memory of his wife Sharon for that was her favorite color rose. During his lifetime of travel his favorite spot to visit was Las Vegas, starting in the 60's. Being a native of Buffalo the Bills were a spots passion of Joe's.
