Age 83 of the City of Tonawanda, March 6, 2026. Wife of 61 years to Philip Helf, III, mother of Deborah (John) Kraft, Shelley Bacon, Jeffrey Helf, Jacqualynn (Daniel) Quinn and James (Shawnna) Helf, 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren,..one on the way, daughter of the late Levi and Phyllis Baptiste and sister of Linda (late William) Cramer, Levi (Donna) Baptiste, Lamont (Brenda) Baptiste, Louella Hopkins, Lynnette (Cecil) Litten, Lawrence (Sylvia) Baptiste and the late Godfrey (living spouse Beverly) Baptiste. Also many nieces and nephews. LaVerine had been employed as a Lab Tech for Great Lakes Orthodontics for several years and was a long time active member of Tonawanda Church of Christ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2026 from 4-7 PM at JOHN 0. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) City of Tonawanda, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday March 11, 2026. Everyone welcome to attend. The Rev. Kenneth Wood and Chaplin Jacob Quinn will officiate. Entombment will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
