Lorriane F. (Zacharias) Shaffer

SHAFFER - Lorraine F. (nee Zacharias) Age 89 of the City of Tonawanda, May 25, 2023. Loving wife of 70 years to the late William J. Shaffer who died on May 6, 2022. Devoted mother of Linda (Charles) Lewis, Karen (Edward) Mesanovic, Patricia (late Gary) McIntosh, William (Kathleen) Shaffer and the late Richard Shaffer, Daniel Shaffer and Susan (former husband Thomas) Moody. 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Nicholas and Alexandra Zacharias and sister of Evelyn (late Harold) Flower, Karen (late John) Tokarczyk, Donna (Stanley) Ross and the late William Zacharias. Also many nieces and nephews. Lorraine had been employed as a Civil Service Secretary at Tonawanda City Hall for several years. She was a member of The National Hose Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and also a volunteer at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. There will be no prior visitation. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Francis of Assisi Chapel with Lorraine’s family.
