Marjorie E. (May) Scranton

 SCRANTON, MARJORIE E. (nee May), age 98 a life long resident of the City of Tonawanda, May 8, 2020. Wife of the late Robert K. Scranton who died in 1974 and very dear friend of the late Frank A. Sciabarrasi who died in 2015, mother of Joanne (Arthur) Madigan and the late Sylvia Hutter and the late Beverly A. (late Joseph) Jowsey, grandmother of Joseph (Teri), Ronald, Anne, Lois (Tom), Margie (Mike), Michelle, Debbie, Roger and the late Randolph and Anne, great grandmother of Michael, Amanda and Michaela, and great great grandmother of Jaelynn and Arya, daughter of the late Harvey and Bessie May, sister of Joan Beringer, David (Marjorie) May, Vivian (late Gordon) Tussing and the late Madalyn (late Robert) Barry, Bessie (late Paul) Schmidt, Harvey May and Mary (late John) Burkholder. Also many nieces and nephews. Marjorie was a 1939 graduate of Tonawanda High School and retired from NYS DOT. She was an active member of Salem UCC, the City of Tonawanda Democratic Party, AARP and Tonawanda Senior Bocce League. There will be no prior visitation. A private Prayer Service and burial in Elmlawn Cemetery will be with Marjorie's immediate family. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem UCC, City of Tonawanda.
