Mary Priano Obituary

PRIANO - Mary Jane (nee Abraham) Age 96 of the City of Tonawanda, passed peacefully at her home on 44 Scott Street. Wife of the late Fred “Babe” Priano who died in 1978; loving mother of Fred Jr., Guy, Daniel, Thomas (Garren), Pamela, Susan, Paul (Melanie), Timothy (Tim), Charles (Hallie) and Janeen (Staci) Priano; mother-in-law of Debbie Priano; grandmother of Nicole (Jason), Danielle, Michelle (Elis), Christopher (Jessica), Alexandra, Sahar, Kyle, Abigail (Rueben), Victoria, Charles, Samuel, Isabella, Jeanine (Andrew) and Cara; great-grandmother of Dylan, Jacob, Lainey, Miley, Vanessa, Angelina, Sofia, Elijah, Antonin, Sara, Dominic, Benjamin and Noah; daughter of the late George Karraz and Ruth (nee Mosier) Abraham; sister of Betty Devlin and the late Martha Piwtorak and George Karraz Abraham Jr.; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary graduated from Kibler High School in 1943 and retired at the age of 75 from the University of Buffalo (SUNY) where she worked for 26 years. Mary was a member of The Syrian Lebanese Club, St. Francis of Assisi Church and Ladies of Charity, Tonawanda and North Tonawanda Senior Citizen Centers, Golden Warriors Class of 1943, Historical Society of the Tonawandas and in her younger years was an usher at the Riviera Theatre. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 2nd from 2-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda where a Prayer Service will be conducted Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM. Everyone welcome.  A burial will take place on Thursday, March 3rd at 11 AM in Elmlawn Cemetery, 3939 Delaware Ave. in the Tw. of Tonawanda. Everyone welcome to attend. Please assemble in the Elmlawn Cemetery parking lot just inside the Delaware entrance. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mary Jane may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Outreach Program or to the Historical Society of the Tonawandas.
