Age 68, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas Murphy and Camille (nee Sperrazza) Murphy.  Beloved husband of Jolene (nee Wetter) Murphy, his wife of 45 years.  Devoted father of Christopher (Rebecca) and Joelle (Daniel) Cray.  Loving grandfather to Oliver Murphy, Henry Murphy, Camille Cray, Clara Cray, Elizabeth Murphy, and Sophia Murphy.  Dear brother of Carol (Philip) Kiefer, Gregory Murphy, and Kimberly (Albert III) Morey.  Also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Mike was a proud Electrical Engineering graduate of the University at Buffalo.  An enthusiastic sports fan: Mike was an especially big fan of baseball and the Buffalo Bills.  Mike spent the summer playing softball and spent the rest of the year managing his multiple fantasy sports teams.  He was a former Boy Scout leader and youth sports coach for baseball, soccer, and swimming.  Additionally, he was a longtime employee of the Kistler Instrument Corporation where he mastered the art of paperwork. The family will receive relatives and friends, Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 4- 7 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home Inc. 25 William Street (between Morgan and Broad Sts.) City of Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 11:30 AM at St. Christopher’s R.C. Church 2660 Niagara Falls Boulevard, Town of Tonawanda. All are invited to attend.
