Lesmeister, Nicholas S.

Age 75, of the City of Tonawanda, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2022, after a long illness. A devoted husband of the late Norma (nee Ortiz), beloved father of Nicholas (Dawn), Todd (Kristen), and a cherished grandfather of Max, Reed, Matilda, and Kane. Nick was predeceased by his brother Gerald Lesmeister and survived by sisters Diane (late Henry) Russell, Colleen (late Daniel) Bufahl, and many nieces and nephews. A 28-year employee of Durez Plastics, Nick was a lifelong resident of the City of Tonawanda who believed in the importance of family, friends, and community. He was an involved member and all-around helping hand for the St. Francis of Assisi Parish, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and was a long-time and active member of the Anerald Boating Club and Eldredge Bicycle Club. In addition, Nick enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, and playing basketball. He was also an enthusiastic New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 4-8 pm at the JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM.  St. Francis of Assisi Church, 150 Broad St. in Tonawanda. Everyone is welcome to attend.
