Of Grand Island and formerly of the Tonawandas. Beloved husband of 37 years to Linda (nee Hill) Gross, dear father of Christina (Tim) Schulte, Jennifer (Erik) Borkmanis and the late Rhonda Johansson, grandfather of Sarah Schulte and Isabell Borkmanis, son of the late  James and Matilda (nee Garlapo) Gross, brother of Dorothy Gross, brother of the late Peter (late Harriet), late George (late Alice), late Robert “Pancho” (late Verna) and late Edward Gross,  late Mildred (late Charles) Baker, late Julia (late Donald) Frazer and late Ann (late Edwin) Blanchard, brother in-law of Robert and Alice Hill, Ralph (late Dorothy) Hill and the late Roger (living spouse Peggy) Hill and also survived by nieces and nephews. Richard proudly served in the US Army from 1956-1958. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:30 AM in Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St., Tonawanda.
