THURSTON - Rita (nee Bobier)
Age 100, of the Town of Tonawanda, May 1, 2020 at Beechwood Health Care Center due to the Covid-19 health crisis. Wife of the late Richard M. Thurston who died in 1998; mother of Marge (late Fred) Scerbo and Paul (Janet) Thurston; grandmother of Jill Thurston, Jon (Debbie Krupp) Thurston, Cara Thurston, Robert (Anna) Scerbo, James (Jackie) Scerbo and Nancy (Andy) Huizenga and 14 great-grandchildren; sister of the late Thomas Snagor and the late Dorothy Murphy; also survived by nieces and nephews. Rita was a long time active member of Kenmore United Methodist Church. Private graveside prayers were held in Elmlawn Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date and time to be announced. Memorial contributions in memory of Rita may be made to Kenmore United Methodist Church, 32 Landers Rd., Kenmore, NY 14217. Condolences may be shared at www.ROTHFUNERAL.com
