Age 88, of the City of Tonawanda. Son of the late Robert E. and Lillian (nee Juergens) Carson. Father of Michael (Judith) Carson, Mark (Rachael) Carson, Darren Carson, Julie (Tom) Cogan, grandfather of Michael, Kristin, Nicholas and Olivia. He is predeceased by his sisters Alma (late Ron) Brohman and late Patricia (Bohdan) Krywokulski. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Robert served in the Air Force, working as a mechanic on F-86 Sabre jets at Chitose Air Base in Japan in the 1950's. Later he served 30 years in the Buffalo Police Department where he worked in the Underwater Recovery Unit. He was an airplane pilot and instructor. His hobbies included home building, homebuilt airplane building, wooden boat building and camping. A private service will be held at a later date by his family. Donations to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227, in Robert's name would be appreciated.
