Sharon S. Dittmar

DITTMAR, SHARON S., age 81 of Williamsville and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, April 10, 2023. Daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel (nee Parrott) Dittmar, sister of Jean E. (Charles) Intrabartolo, aunt of Victoria (Daniel) Ellis and Anthony Intrabartolo. Also 1 great niece and 4 great nephews. Sharon was a 1959 graduate of Tonawanda High School. She received her Nursing Diploma from E.J. Meyer Memorial Hospital in 1962. She also received her BS in Nursing in 1968, her Masters Degree in Rehabilitation in Nursing in 1973 and her Phd in Communication in 1979, all from State University of NY at Buffalo. Sharon served as a Lt. Col. Army Nursing Corps. from 1982-2001 in the US Army Reserve. She retired as Professor Emeritus at State University of NY at Buffalo School of Medicine. Sharon was author of a nursing textbook titled Rehabilitation Nursing. After her retirement, she was also a piano Teacher during the remaining years of her life. There will be no prior visitation. A private burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday April 22, 2023 at 1:00 PM in North Presbyterian Church, 300 N. Forest Rd., in Williamsville, NY 14221.
