THOMPSON, SHIRLEY A. (nee Hangen) January 14, 2024 
Age 81 of North Tonawanda, unexpectedly. Wife of 61 years to Allen D. Thompson, mother of Lorrean (Chester) Banko, Cheryl (Marty) Wisz, Theresa (Michael) Champlin, Julie (Daniel) Dirmyer, Jane (late Kenneth) Hoefert and Ellen (late Perry) (Timothy Smith) Caswell, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Hangen and sister of 13 brothers and sisters. Also many many nieces and nephews. Shirley loved helping her many family, friends and neighbors. She also loved collecting piggy banks and statues for many years. Calling hours will be held on Friday January 19, 2024 from 4-8 PM at JOHN 0. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) in the City of Tonawanda, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 8 PM Friday following the calling hours. Everyone welcome to attend. A burial with relatives and friends attending will take place at 11 AM in White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery the following day Saturday January 20th. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Shirley may be made to the Family of Shirley Thompson.
