Age 68, passed away unexpectedly October 9, 2024. He was the son of the late Howard and Elenore (nee Glass) Mapes. Proud father of Larissa Amole, Bryon Mapes and Kailyn Mapes, brother of Roger (late Kathleen) Mapes, Barry Mapes, Susan (David) Moe and the late Howard Mapes and Robert Glass. 

Tom was a passionate outdoorsman, spending much of his time fishing and hunting; as well as a talented artist and woodworker. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life such as his morning cup of coffee, reading his Bible, riding his bike, and visiting with family and friends. Tom always had a story to tell, a joke to crack, or some sort of shenanigans to get into. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ellicott Creek Park Friendship House, Creekside Drive at Irvington Drive., Town of Tonawanda, NY.
