Velma A. (Stolzenburg) Giese

GIESE - Velma A. (nee Stolzenburg) age 97 of North Tonawanda, passed away June 30, 2023 at her residence under the care of Hospice. Wife of 58 years to the late Alton C. Giese who died in 2006, mother of Priscilla “PJ” (Robert) Parkhurst, Marcia L. Giese and Nancy L. (Steven) Roberts, grandmother of Sara (Scott), Matthew (NaCole), Erin and Justin (Jennifer) and great-grandmother of Garret, Gabriel, Caleb and Nikolas, daughter of the late Edgar and Helen Stolzenburg and sister of the late Raymond and Robert Stolzenburg. Also many nieces and nephews. Velma was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School. She was a Life Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aid of the church. Velma was also a volunteer of the North Tonawanda Interfaith Food Pantry. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday July 6, 2023 from 10 AM to 11 AM in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 AM following the calling hours. Everyone welcome to attend. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Velma may be made to Niagara Hospice.
