Age 90 of North Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, Sept. 9, 2026. Husband of 64 yrs. to Susan A. (nee Konecki) Donaldson, father of Lisa (Patrick) Gibbons and Jeffrey Donaldson, grandfather of Jonathan Gibbons, son of the late Francis and Cecelia Donaldson and brother of the late Doloris Conrad, Francis, James and Kenneth (living spouse Bonnie) Donaldson. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Walter was a 1953 graduate of Tonawanda High School and served in the US Army 11th Airborne Div. He retired from American Axle in 2001. Walter was a member of Sweeney Hose Vol. Fire Co., North Tonawanda Firemen's Benevolent Assn., Stephen Sikora Post 1322 American Legion, Elk's Lodge 860 BPOE and the Renaissance Club of North Tonawanda. Calling hours will be held on Saturday Sept. 12, 2026 from 4-7 PM at JOHN 0. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) City of Tonawanda, where a Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday at 7 PM following the visitation. Everyone welcome to attend.. A private interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Wally may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
